"Peaches" was released in early April, and is featured in the Super Mario Bros. Movie, where Jack Black plays the character Bowser. I was recently introduced to this song (and music video), and it's been stuck in my head ever since. I'm a huge Jack Black fan, and loved watching the music video of this song too.

The Lion King (Medley), Elton John (arr. Mark Brymer)
My daughter's school just finished a three-night run of a production of The Lion King and it served as a great reminder of the amazing songs that feature in the show. And more than that, when voices come together to sing these songs in a chorus, it's emotive and rousing in equal measure. This Mark Brymer arrangement does a great job of condensing these timeless tunes into a 3 minute medley.

Summer is wedding season! Throughout my many years of wedding piano gigs, "The Luckiest" is one of my all-time favorites to play.
Olivia Rodrigo's first new recording since her hit 2021 album SOUR was just released and it's our first look at her upcoming album, GUTS. I love the use of the major III chord in the opening progression: F, A, Bb, Bbm. This major mediant chord surprises the listener and draws them in.
Right from the iconic opening guitar riff, The Beatles' "Here Comes the Sun" is a delightful musical masterpiece that never fails to brighten my day.

Until I Found You, Stephen Sanchez
This month marked the return of Glastonbury with a brilliant headline set by Sir Elton John. Always a supporter of new artists, Elton brought out a number of guest performers, including Stephen Sanchez who performed his viral hit "Until I Found You," a chilled-out ballad with a dreamy ‘50s style sound. I look forward to hearing what he does next!
